Would like some feed back on these two shots. I really like the framing, contrast and and negative space of the b/w, but this church is known for it’s neon blue crosses so I have edited the second shot as well.  Which ever I decide on will be  printed as a gift for someone, so let me know what you think.  Peace.

I had to create a portfolio for my final assignment here are the a few that I picked. The only stipulation was that they had to be shot during this semester (Spring ’10), some are “street” photography, still life, portrait, others from assignments this semester.   Please comment away, I love all feed back, I would rather you tell me you hate them and why, than nothing at all.  Peace.

First off project three asks for a contradiction of anything in your photo, it can be as simple as shapes or your photos could get into social political or religious issues as well.  Took some shots of Heather yesterday, in a “themed” style, I wanted the cow-girl/surfer contradiction vintage feel, after looking at the pictures and editing them I don’t see much of a contradiction at all.  In fact they look very time and style appropriate, ooppps. Tell me what you think.

This assignment was a little tough for me, I had find abstractions in everyday and use different light angles and types of light, i.e. large, medium and small.  I got some good feed back in class just posting up for my loyal fallowers.

Little snow storm this past weekend, Heather and I headed out to the beach for a few shots of the snow before it disappeared.  I got yelled at by a local because I was out on the dunes, I guess that is a 250 fine.  I thought to myself, “I’m only taking pictures and leaving tracks bro.”  Whatev her are a couple I liked.

After my no so desired results of my first take with my first assignment in my photography class, I had the option to re-shoot.  Again the premise was an indirect portrait with a second object in b/w.  Tell me what you think I present on Tuesday 2/09/2010.

I had my first “assignment” for my photography 282 course this past week. The set up was a B/W indirect portrait with an second object in the frame.  I felt pretty good about my shots, but did not go over well with the Instructor.  I’ll let you be the judge.  I presented the first 2 photos in class, but like this whole set.  Tell me what you think.

Cruise down to Eastern skate supplies private skate park for an expo by the Zero team.  Pretty amazing the bag of tricks this dudes carry with them.  Jaime Thomas is still ripping hard, and the skate park is pretty dope as well.   I know that the first one is of Chris Cole the other two skaters are unknown to me but if any one does know I would be much appreciated for the heads up.  My lens is a little slow and a few more stops would have helped my cause, but these are what I came up with.

Finally made it up to the Organ Mesa for some pics, I was hopping for a little more snow on the mountains but it is what it is.  Tried to stick around for the full moon to pop its head over the Organs but had a lab final and time was of essence.  Tell me whatcha think?

Just a few randoms.
